There’s no shortage of fun things to do in West Virginia, and festivals are high on the list! In addition to our local grape-stompin’ festival hosted right on the Kirkwood Winery vineyard, we take part in all kinds of local events. Read on to learn more about how you can sample our wines and take home your mountain-heritage favorites from the first vineyard in the region, Kirkwood Winery.
4th Annual
Feast of the Ramson Ramp Festival
We will be at the Festival on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Come join us at the Ramp Capital of the World at Richwood Community Center (formerly Armory at the City Park).
This year there will be indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeout. In addition to food there will be an Arts & Craft show in the main area of the newly renovated Richwood Community Center. Visit the Richwood Chamber site for more information or the festival’s Facebook page.

Visit Kirkwood Winery on May 18, 2024 at Boydville Inn at the Martinsburg Wine & Shine Festival, presented by Main Street Martinsburg. Sample our wines and moonshine at one of Martinsburg’s most beloved properties while you enjoy live music and great food vendors.

The local Chamber of Commerce, Summersville Area Chamber of Commerce, will hold their 3rd Annual Taste of Nicholas County festival hosted by Kirkwood Winery.

Visit Kirkwood Winery at the Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Festival presented by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

46th Annual Oglebayfest
Join us for the annual Oglebayfest fall celebration! The 3-day event, launched in 1978 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Oglebay Park, features regional foods and an extensive display of fine handcrafted wares plus a chance to see some of the tri-state’s best artisans at work. See elaborate quilts, homegrown foods, gentle animals, and competitions for all ages including butter-making, hog calling, fiddling, rock throwing, and baby crawling. Don’t miss the parade and fireworks!
